We’re always looking for enthusiastic
volunteers to fill vacancies for appointed position(s) on our board of directors. If you have the time to share, and skills or talents that would be an asset to the position, that’s always a bonus. But, if you don’t, we will provide the training and guidance necessary to make you proficient in performing the duties of the position your interested in. If you’re interested in being a volunteer, we will always be pleased accept your contact information and keep it on file, regardless of whether we have a current or pending vacancy.
Current and Pending Vacancies
The following is a list of the current and pending vacancies:
- Country Leads for Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England – They will be charged with advocating for their countries, staying on top of genealogical resources, making sure members’ concerns are being met, and providing research help, etc. Skills required: organizational ability, creative thinking and sociability.
- Scotland Editor – Researches and writes articles for the W.I.S.E. Newsletter that relate to Scottish genealogy/family history.
- Secretary – This is an elected position that serves as an officer on the W.I.S.E. Board of Directors (BOD). We are looking for potential nominees that could serve in either a part-time (substitute) or full-time capacity. The position is responsible as a volunteer for administrative duties in support of our society and it board.
